Dental implants might not be suitable for people who:
- Have insufficient bone density to support the implant.
- Suffer from uncontrolled diabetes, which can affect healing.
- Are heavy smokers, as smoking can increase the risk of failure.
- Have untreated gum disease, which needs to be addressed before implant placement.
- Are undergoing radiation therapy to the head or neck region.
